The Altar of Hope is the basic foundation of Darkest Dungeon 2’s meta-progression system. It allows the players to exchange their Candles of Hope for the permanent unlocks and upgrades possible. If you are looking to have access to all the Altar’s locations, you must spend your first batch of the Candles in the Working Fields. Let’s check out on tips for how to approach the Darkest Dungeon 2’s Altar of Hope. The forgotten darkest dungeon 2 is back with all the needed bang at darkest dungeon 2 altar of hope release date in May, 2023.

The Altar of Hope is the first place travelled after the Crossroads in Darkest Dungeon 2 and is the first location in The Valley. The Altar is used as the games main meta-progression location. Within the Altar are multiple locations, such as The Timeless Wood, where the player can spend their earned Candles of Hope for permanent buffs/upgrades, apply Memories to Heroes, and unlock a variety of items to be added to the loot pool for the current profile. Collect Candles of Hope to upgrade the Altar and earn permanent bonuses through runs. The Bounty Hunter, a new class, is also available. His main trait is that doesn’t gain or lose affinity and is thus not susceptible to arguments.

All of the primary location in the Altar are a reference to the Regions you travel through during a run.
The Living City = The Sprawl
The Timeless Wood = The Tangle
The Intrepid Coast = The Shroud
The Working Fields = The Foetor

Darkest Dungeon 2: Altar of Hope Tips and Tricks

It is recommended that they unlock a hero in the Living City that can replace the Grave Robber. Once you are done with claiming some new heroes, we must unlock the Orphan Wolf Cub from the Companionship tracked at the Intrepid Coast. Fans should then start putting Candles toward unlocking Darkest Dungeon 2’s Hero Paths and upgrading hero stats in the Living City. Players should put their excess Candles toward unlocking Inn Items in the Working Fields. You can also spend some Candles on unlocking Darkest Dungeon 2 Combat Items (Healing Salve and Triage Kit are both excellent), Stagecoach Items, and Trinkets, though Inn Items should take priority.
