Beginner’s Guide – Cosmoteer Starship Architect & Commander (Must Needed)
You have to pick up a mission to firstly start the game and here are the three choices:
- Model-C (Cannon)
- Model-L (Laser)
- Model-S (Shields)
Each of the strating ship has its own strengths as well as weaknesses. Like, Model-C, can pierce the aromor more easily than the others and can even cause fires when hitting the ships but this case is really very rare. You need an ammo near them to be much more closer to your target to get a good shot.
Model-L, lacks in terms of range as well as having an incredible accuracy. No requirement of ammo storage near them but does requires a renewable energy to functioning properly. But, nothing is perfect and so does this Model-L, it can only fire on one block at a time.
Now, come to the Model-S, that has the Model-L lasers for weapons and same strengths too. Moreover, it has the Shield Generator that has a 90 degree shield in front of the ship.
Once done with the selection of ship, learn how to properly pilot and take care of it. A reactor or Cockpit and energy of the ship is the most important part of the ship and they must be protected at all the times. The shield has 6 squares whereas the laser guns have four. Energy is meant to be transported by the crew from the reactors to the location when needed.
Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander Cockpit: How to Rebuild?
It is the most important of the ship that is mainly visible is the reactors and the cockpits too. In case, all of the cockpits gets destroyed in the ship, it is known as junk or debris. And, if you are unable to rebuild the cockpit and unfortunately, it is your last ship, the game will be over.
How to Use the Airlock in the Cosmoteer: Starship Architect and Commander?

Another important factor is building the reactor as you cannot power any energy weapons without it and all the engines will be powered down and blind in the outer space. However, the reactor can explode and damage the things nearby setting things on the fire.
And, you can douse a fire in your ship by using a fire extinguisher and it can be accessed them in Build -> Defenses -> Fire Extinguishers. They can be very dangerous and can destroy your ships faster than enemy weapons does. Now, comes building the placement and pressing the build menu will show you all the blocks and rooms that can be constructed on the ship. In career mode, few of them are locked till you obtain the blueprints required for construction.
And, the build mode is necessary to hover your mouse over any building that need a crew and it will draw a line. Red line means a lot of travel time that can cause major issues during the combat phase and focus on getting a green or a yellow colored line.
